Every day comes with opportunities and new findings. They may be something as minimal as watching an ant to as significant as winning a Nobel Prize. It depends on us and our perspective how we choose to see these.
Let me tell you about something very insignificant but something that can be a major progress for some. Often we receive guests at home. Some come with naughty children who just cannot put themselves together and have to just cause you inconvenience and all you can do is smile with an aching heart. As soon as they left, I saw the worsened condition of our drawing room. Well not for the first time but I took the responsibility to clear the mess up.
The cushions were misplaces, the setting was disturbed, decoration pieces all over the place and what not. I had to clear up the area and put things on their places. Clean the table and rearrange the decoration pieces. I also rearranged the items placed on the trolley. It is something I do every now and then.
After completing this task, I felt a deep satisfaction as I really like clean and tidy places. I was satisfied that I stood up and did this. Even if I would not have taken charge to tidy the place, I would have been told to do it or someone else would have done it in the end. The reason I took this task was to learn how one can take charge without really being the one in charge. You need not to be a CEO or a president to make changes. All you need are eyes and a heart that longs to bring change in society. The first step to bring change in society is to change yourself first and then slowly replicate your actions for a greater cause.
